There are two buttons. You tap to jump and tap to roll under the low branches that a jump won’t clear. That’s the whole control scheme, and the levels are built around figuring out which one you need about half a second before you need it.
Acorns pile up while you run and they buy things to wear. There are 18 of them across 5 slots, including a beanie, a top hat, a crown, shades, an axolotl mask, a cape, a hot dog costume and rocket boots. You can fill all 5 slots at once and nothing stops you. Some pieces aren’t for sale though. Those are locked behind achievements, so you have to go and earn them.
Every so often a run stops for a bonus round, and they don’t all work the same way. One is against the clock and another gives you lives and a combo to protect. Whatever acorns you grab in there are yours to keep.
There’s no account and no sign-in. Everything lives on the device, including your best scores, and the whole game works offline.
