Lantern Meadow Privacy Policy
This policy describes what Lantern Meadow collects, why, and who it is shared with. It reflects what the app actually does.
What we collect
| Category | What and why |
|---|---|
| Your world | The map you are playing, what you have built, what you are carrying, what is in your stores, your trades and your character. It is the game state and nothing else — there is no field in it for a name, an email or a device identifier, because the game never asks for any. Stored on your device, and, if this build has a save server, also there under your world code. |
| Your world code | Eight characters, generated at random when a world is first made. It is the only thing that identifies a world, to us or to anyone. Knowing a code means being able to play that world, which is exactly what makes it work on a second device — and the reason it is worth keeping to yourself. |
| Ordinary server logs | If your world is kept on our save server, our host records the usual request information — an IP address, a timestamp, which address was asked for. We do not join it to world codes, build profiles from it, or use it for anything but keeping the service up. |
One short code, and nothing else about you. Lantern Meadow has no account system. If your world is kept on our save server, it is filed under a short code and nothing else — no name, no email, no device identifier. We cannot tell who you are, and we do not try to.
Who processes your data
We use the following services. Each one receives only what it needs to do its part, and none of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
| Service | What it does |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Serves the save server and carries its traffic. Sees the requests that pass through it, which contain a world code and a world. Governed by Cloudflare’s privacy policy. |
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.
- No analytics, telemetry, or crash-reporting services.
- No advertising, and no advertising identifiers.
- No tracking of any kind, across apps or otherwise.
- No third-party SDKs.
- No accounts, no sign-in, no email address, no password.
- No location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone access. The app never asks for a permission because it never needs one.
There is no account
Nothing to create and nothing to sign in to. We hold no record of you — only worlds, filed under codes. So there is no profile to request or correct, and deleting a world is a matter of sending us its code.
Your choices
Play without the server. A world kept on the device alone works exactly the same way. Settings tells you which arrangement you are in, and warns you when a world is on the device only — because then deleting the app takes it with you.
Keep your code to yourself. The code is the key. Anyone who has it can open that world, so treat it the way you would a shared link.
Delete everything. Deleting the app removes everything on the device. Email us your world code and we will delete the copy on the server.
Ask us. To request a copy of your data, or to ask anything about this policy, email support@pointofvu.app.
Children
Lantern Meadow is suitable for children. It collects nothing from anyone regardless of age, has no chat, no social features and no way to spend money.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date above and note the change in the app.
