Let us know which device and iOS version you’re on, and your world code if it’s about a save — Settings shows it.

Common questions

My world disappeared.

If you wrote your world code down, it’s almost certainly fine. Open Settings, type the code in, and you’re back in it. Without the code there’s no account to look you up by and nothing we can search, so that one little string really is the whole of it — Settings shows it for exactly this reason.

What is the world code?

Eight characters that name your world, and the only key to it. Type it on another phone and you’re in the same world, carrying the same things, with your house where you left it. Anyone who has it can open that world, so treat it like a shared link.

My world looks wrong.

Settings → Saves → Go back to the previous save. It swaps in the copy from about a minute earlier, and it swaps rather than overwrites, so pressing it again brings you forward. Do it soon though: the world you leave is only kept for about a minute of play before the new one catches up with it.

Can I start over?

There’s no reset button yet. Deleting the app gives you a fresh morning, and if your old world was on the server it’s still there under its code, so starting again doesn’t throw it away.

I’m standing at the workbench and it won’t make anything.

A bench draws on what is stored near the bench, not on what is near you. Logs on your shoulder or heaped across the camp are out of its reach. Put them down within a few tiles of the bench and the recipe lights up. It catches everyone once, and it’s the idea the whole game is built on: where things go is the decision.

Where did my tools go?

They’re on your belt, which has eight slots, and all three tools at once takes up three of them. Unloading leaves them on you — they’re kit, not cargo. If you’ve genuinely lost one, the toolbench makes another.

Is there any sound?

Not yet, so a silent phone is the game working as intended rather than anything broken. It’s on the list.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes everything kept on the device. If your world is on our save server there is also a copy there, filed under your world code — email us the code and we’ll delete it. The code is the only way either of us can pick a world out, so we can’t find it without one.
