TickerPilot Privacy Policy
This policy describes what TickerPilot collects, why, and who it is shared with. It reflects what the app actually does.
What we collect
| Category | What and why |
|---|---|
| Account identity | When you sign in with Apple, we receive the Apple account identifier needed to create and recognize your TickerPilot account. If Apple provides a display name, we may store it with the account. |
| Paper-trading data | We store your simulated account balance, paper positions and trading activity so your portfolio and history are available when you use the app. |
| Session information | We create a random sign-in session token. A cryptographic hash of that token is stored on our server so the app can authenticate requests to your account. |
TickerPilot is paper trading only. The current version does not place real-money trades or move money from a brokerage account.
Who processes your data
We use the following services. Each one receives only what it needs to do its part, and none of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
| Service | What it does |
|---|---|
| Apple | Provides Sign in with Apple authentication. Apple handles the Apple ID sign-in process. |
| Cloudflare | Hosts the TickerPilot API and database used for accounts, scanner status and paper-trading data. |
| Alpaca | Provides market data used by the scanner. Your TickerPilot account identity and paper-trading history are not sent to Alpaca for this purpose. |
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.
- We do not use your data for advertising, and there are no advertising or analytics trackers in the app.
- We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos or microphone recordings.
- The current version does not connect to a brokerage account to place real-money trades.
- A Schwab connection option may be shown in the app, but brokerage connectivity is not required for the current market-data scanner.
Your TickerPilot account
Sign in with Apple lets TickerPilot associate your paper portfolio and activity with your account instead of only one installation of the app.
Your choices
Pause new entries. The dashboard can pause new simulated entries while still allowing the paper engine to manage existing positions.
Ask us to delete your account data. Email support@pointofvu.app from the contact information associated with your request and we will handle the deletion request.
Ask us. To request a copy of your data, or to ask anything about this policy, email support@pointofvu.app.
Children
TickerPilot is a financial-market simulation and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date above and note the change in the app.
