PocketFix AI Privacy Policy
This policy describes what PocketFix AI collects, why, and who it is shared with. It reflects what the app actually does.
What we collect

| Account identity | If you sign in, your Google account email and name, held as a Supabase auth user. Guests have no account and no server-side record. |
| Vehicle information | VINs and vehicle descriptions you enter, and the vehicles saved in your garage. VINs are decoded through the NHTSA vPIC service, a free US government API, to resolve year, make, model and engine. |
| Photos | Photos you take or choose (up to five per diagnosis) are sent to our server and on to Anthropic’s Claude API to be analysed. Signed-in History photos are stored in a private Supabase Storage bucket tied to your account and copied on your device. Guest photos stay on that device. Synced photos are removed when you delete their History entry or your account. If you choose Share, those photos can also be viewed by anyone who has that case’s unguessable share link until sharing is revoked. |
| Voice | During a Voice Walkthrough, speech is transcribed to text on your device. Only the resulting text is sent to our server. We do not receive or store audio recordings. |
| Diagnosis history | If you are signed in, the text of each diagnosis — vehicle, mode, result and timestamp — syncs to your account so it is available on your other devices. History photos sync in private storage when their files are still available on the original device. If you choose Share, PocketFix creates an unguessable public link to a read-only snapshot of that case. |

History photos sync when you sign in. Photos are sent to our analysis provider for the answer. If you are signed in, copies saved in History are also stored privately with your account so they can appear on your other devices. Guest photos stay on the device. Delete a History entry to remove its synced photos.
Who processes your data
We use the following services. Each one receives only what it needs to do its part, and none of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.
- We do not use your data for advertising, and there are no advertising or analytics trackers in the app.
- We do not receive or store audio recordings. Speech is converted to text on your device.
- We never see your payment card details. Purchases are handled by Apple.
Using the app without an account
PocketFix AI can be used as a guest. As a guest you have no account with us, nothing is synced, and your vehicles and history stay on your device.
Your choices
Share only when you choose. A case is not public by default. Tapping Share creates an unguessable read-only link to that case. Anyone you give the link to can view it; your account, email and other History entries are not included.
Delete everything. Settings → Delete Account removes your account, saved vehicles, synced history, its uploaded photos and usage records permanently. Photos saved on this device are also cleared.
Permissions. Camera, photo library, microphone and speech recognition are each requested only when you first use the feature that needs them, and can be withdrawn at any time in iOS Settings. Withdrawing one disables that feature and nothing else.

Children
PocketFix AI is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date above and note the change in the app.
