PocketFix AI Privacy Policy
This policy describes what PocketFix AI collects, why, and who it is shared with. It reflects what the app actually does.
What we collect

| Account identity | If you sign in, your Google account email and name, held as a Supabase auth user. Guests have no account and no server-side record. |
| Vehicle information | VINs and vehicle descriptions you enter, and the vehicles saved in your garage. VINs are decoded through the NHTSA vPIC service, a free US government API, to resolve year, make, model and engine. |
| Photos | Photos you take or choose (up to five per diagnosis) are sent to our server and on to Anthropic’s Claude API to be analysed. They are not stored in your account. Copies are kept on your own device so your history has its pictures, and they are deleted when the entry ages out or you delete the app. |
| Voice | During a Voice Walkthrough, speech is transcribed to text on your device. Only the resulting text is sent to our server. We do not receive or store audio recordings. |
| Diagnosis history | If you are signed in, the text of each diagnosis — vehicle, mode, result and timestamp — syncs to your account so it is available on your other devices. Photos are not included in that sync. |
| Usage and credits | Counts of diagnoses and voice sessions, and your credit balance, so the app knows what you have left. |
| Purchases | Purchases are processed by Apple and recorded through RevenueCat. We receive a record that a purchase occurred. We never see or store your payment card details. |
Photos stay on your device. A photo is sent to our server and on to our analysis provider so it can be examined, and is not kept in your account afterwards. The copy that appears in your history is stored locally on your phone, and deleting the app deletes it.
Who processes your data
We use the following services. Each one receives only what it needs to do its part, and none of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.
- We do not use your data for advertising, and there are no advertising or analytics trackers in the app.
- We do not receive or store audio recordings. Speech is converted to text on your device.
- We never see your payment card details. Purchases are handled by Apple.
Using the app without an account
PocketFix AI can be used as a guest. As a guest you have no account with us, nothing is synced, and your vehicles and history stay on your device.
Your choices
Delete everything. Settings → Delete Account removes your account, saved vehicles, synced history and usage records permanently. Photos are on your device only, so deleting the app removes those.
Permissions. Camera, photo library, microphone and speech recognition are each requested only when you first use the feature that needs them, and can be withdrawn at any time in iOS Settings. Withdrawing one disables that feature and nothing else.

Children
PocketFix AI is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date above and note the change in the app.
